敬爱的老师们，亲爱的同学们：

大家早上好！今天我国旗下讲话的主题是《维护祖国统一，守护国家安全》。

Dear teachers and classmates:

Good morning! The topic of my speech today is " Safeguard national reunification, protect national security".

本周周五是2023年4月15日，是我国第八个全民国家安全教育日。国家安全是指国家政权、主权统一和领土完整、人民福祉、经济社会可持续发展和国家其他重大利益，相对处于没有危险和不受内外威胁的状态，以及保障持续安全状态的能力。

This Friday is April 15, 2023, our eighth National Security Education Day.

The country is peaceful and then people can be safe. Only when the country is safer and stronger can the safety of people's lives be more fully protected .

4月6日，蔡英文窜美与美众议长麦卡锡见面。这是推动台美勾连、危害我国国家安全的又一恶劣行为。我国相关部门表示予以强烈谴责，将采取坚决措施惩戒“台独”分裂势力及其行径，坚决维护国家主权和领土完整。

On April 6, Tsai visited the USA and met with McCarthy. This is another bad act that pushes the Taiwan-US connection and endangers our country. It is wrong. We should take action to punish it.  We should safeguard national reunification and protect it.

我们始终坚信，在一个中国原则基础上实现祖国统一不仅是大势所趋，也是大义所在，更是民心所向，没有任何个人和任何国家能够阻挡。

We should always believe that it is important to unite the country. No people and no countries can stop it.

同样，如果一个国家不能保障国家安全，那它就没有生存和生命的存在。因此，国家安全是要靠我们每一个人来维护的。“天下兴亡，匹夫有责”，作为新时代的青少年，我们既应是国家将来的希望，也应是国家发展和繁荣的创造者。

If we can’t protect our country, there will be no life. So it's our duty to keep this country safe. The rise and fall of the country also need us.

As young people in the  new  era, we should be not only the hope but also the creators of our country.

维护国家安全要从小事做起，从身边之事做起，我们需要时刻保持警觉，注意周围的人和事物，特别是在公共场所和旅游景点。

To safeguard national security, we need to start from small things and the things around us. We need to keep alert all the time and pay attention to people and things around us, especially in public places .

同时，我们需要保护我们的个人信息。在互联网时代，我们的个人信息已经变得非常容易被获取。

At the same time, we need to protect our personal information. Because it is easy to get it on the Internet .

只有我们每个人都认真对待，才能让我们的生活更加安全和稳定。如发现有可疑情况，应及时向有关部门报告，保护国家安全。

Only if each of us takes it seriously can we make our lives more peaceful. If any unusual thing is found, it should be reported to protect our country.

同学们，我们要始终把个人成长与国家发展紧密结合起来，在劳动与奉献中历练本领。

日常生活中，我们要时刻培养自己维护“国家安全”的意识，增强爱国情感和振兴祖国的责任感。我们要艰苦奋斗、努力拼搏，真正把爱国之志变成报国之行，做一名爱国爱家的滨河好少年！
